Sing a Suffolk Christmas
Sing a Suffolk Christmas is a county-wide music and singing project in the Autumn/Winter of 2026.
We are looking to bring musicians and singers from across the county together for some seasonal fun!

The aim is to record as many people across our wonderful county singing two brand new Christmas songs for release on all streaming platforms.
The two new songs are called 'Sing a Suffolk Christmas' and 'On this Christmas day'
Any money raised will go to the charity Tearfund - though in these days of streaming there is very little money to be made...
We are looking for as many choirs as possible from across Suffolk to learn and record the songs.
We will record them in the first half of October, so the songs can be mixed and released by the end of November.
We can either come to one of your choir rehearsals and do the recording, or if you have the capability you are welcome to record yourself.
We would also like you to film the recording so we have some content to put together the Youtube video that will be released with the song.
The project has been made as accessible as possible - the choir parts are very straightforward to learn and sing.
For both of the songs, the massed choirs sing the chorus and we have soloists singing the verses.
We can either record choirs singing the SAT/SATB parts, or just singing in unison (depending on choir's capabilities)
There is also a straightforward children's counterpart for the main song.
UPDATE: We are holding a recording & filming session for the songs on the evening of Wednesday 30th September at 7pm at St Andrew's church in Felixstowe. All choirs or individual singers welcome - we will do a learn and record - aiming to finish soon after 8:30pm. If you are planning, please let us know and if you like bring something 'Christmassy' to wear for the video filming (e.g. hat, scarf)

For the accompanying music video, we are looking for any video of Christmas in Suffolk that people would be up for letting us use for the project.
I needs to be at least HD definition and landscape 16:9. Any Christmas/Winter Suffolk drone shots or well decorated Suffolk towns or houses would be especially welcome! If you or anyone you know has any video please contact us on the above email address.
